We were hired to Webcast event where young ladies audition for the part of Anastasia for the upcoming movie 50 Shades of Grey.  One of the more interesting suggestions at this pseudo casting session was the suggestion by more than one young exec that Sasha Grey, the pron star play the coveted role. Most women at the event recoiled at the idea.  A few men liked it.  But later confessed as to not having actually read the book.

One young lady angrily confronted  him, yelling in hos face  “That’s because 50 Shades of Grey is a woman book, asshole!

The webcast being officially over.  our job was done.

We quietly packed our cameras and TriCaster 850 and left.

The new 50 Shades of Grey favorite to play Anastasia Steele might be Emma Watson, but that hasn’t stopped everyone from continuing to suggest other actresses that would be perfect for the part.

Since 50 Shades features tons of sex, it would make sense to cast an actress who is comfortable stripping down and getting into awkward positions with male costars. Obviously Emma doesn’t have much experience here, but porn star Sasha Grey does.

Policymic has suggested Sasha as the ideal actress to play Ana—in addition to making a name for herself as an adult movie star, she’s managed to find mainstream success on the TV series Entourage. Her name is perfect, of course, and perhaps Sasha Grey getting cast would make more men interested in seeing the 50 Shades of Grey movie.

The biggest problem with Sasha is that she’s just not very innocent-looking —she’d have to undergo a major makeover to get the soft, inexperienced look needed to accurately portray Anastasia Steele.

And since no real sex will be going on during the shooting of the movie, it won’t be necessary to cast porn stars in it—the film will most likely end up being R-rated (PG-13 would be very surprising), so an actress willing to get nude is all that will be needed. Perhaps Sasha is better-suited for the porn star parody of 50 Shades that will surely get made.

But she’s not the only adult film star getting buzz—some have suggested popular porn star James Deen as the perfect man to portray Christian Grey.
